Today I had the privilege of working in Chipping Campden School, one of our excellent Training Centres, on Peer Coaching. The SLT is seeking to introduce a Peer Coaching programme in the school and I had the good fortune to work with a group of very motivated teachers who responded very well to the activities in the session and to our interview with Peer Coaching legend Les Foltos (@lfoltos).
One of the activities I asked the delegates to do was to add the sentence and question starters they used during a coaching session carried out this morning on the padlet wall below. These stems were generated by the teachers in the session and came from what they had used as active listening techniques, so this wall forms an Active Listening Toolkit that you can use when developing coaching and empowering questions with your students and colleagues. Feel free to add your own stems, but please send us a tweet on @Collaborat_Ed, if you do, as I have turned the moderation of posts on.
